What to expect on your visit:

Dr. Maher has a specially designed table to allow the mother to be to lay face down to perform treatment. You will be comfortable for this brief period. She will perform the Webster Technique while you are lying comfortably on your back.

After performing the Webster Technique, you may also choose to have acupuncture and moxabustion treatment. Soft music played to the lower abdominal area has also been shown to assist the babies in turning into proper position, if you chose to, we have soft music that can be played through a headset for your baby while you relax.

You will have a very calming and wonderful break from worry and anxiety as you are made to feel calm and centered.

Dr. Maher has been Webster Certified since 2002. She has not only been Webster Certified for almost a decade, but is also a fellow of the FICPA. Which means that she has received post graduate training and certifications in treating pregnant women, and pedicatric patients. Dr. Maher has successfully had over 200 Breech Babies go into proper position using the Webster Technique. The Webster Technique is NOT a manual turning technique.

The technique helps to correct sacral misalignments, balance pelvic muscles and ligaments, which in turn removes torsion to the woman's uterus, decreasing constraint and allows baby to get into the best position for birth. Dr. Maher is also certified in acupuncture, so she may also use acupuncture or moxabustion of specific points that balance the body and assist in the turning of Breech babies. Webster technique with Moxabustion and acupuncture can be performed. Dr. Maher will meet with you if you have learned you have a breech presentation and depending on physical examination and number of weeks gestation will set a treatment plan with you.
